About Girrawheen
Girrawheen is a charming c.1926 heritage listed mountain cottage. It has been renovated and extended in a sympathetic, contemporary style and now provides three bedrooms (queen, double & king single), three bathrooms (ensuite with bath, ensuite with shower and full bathroom), well appointed kitchen, open plan living and dining rooms and a casual sunny sitting room. There is an open fire, combustion fire and heaters or air conditioning in the bedrooms. There is also a comfortable king single airbed available on request.
The cottage is bathed in northern light and all rooms have views to the delightful seasonal garden. Enjoy the glorious Springtime colours of daffodils, iris, azaleas, rhododendrons & cherry blossom; the shady foliage of the liquidambar and oaks through Summer; the magnificent Autumn displays of the many maples; and open district views through winter.
There are plenty of books, board games, records, TV + DVD & WiFi throughout.
Garden games - Croquet, Petanque & Badminton - are also available.

Current rate is approx. $300 per night (one couple) minimum 2 nights.
Please note: maximum occupancy is 6 persons.
About Blackheath
Blackheath village is well equipped with food stores, cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants, book shop, galleries, antiques shops etc. There are also some fabulous produce and craft markets at weekends. Enjoy a stroll through the Blackheath Memorial Park (with swimming pools in Summer) and the spectacular Campbell Rhododendron Garden.
Girrawheen is located just off Govetts Leap Rd. It is approximately a 20min walk to the village and a 15min walk to Govetts Leap Lookout. There are several wonderful bush walks close by, including the Braeside Walk & Pope’s Glen.
